AGUACHILE VERDE TOSTADAS

 

INGREDIENTS

  • Ingredients:

    • 1 package of TOSTADAS CASERAS BUENA VISTA

    • 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined

    • 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves

    • 3 to 4 serrano peppers (adjust according to your desired spiciness)

    • 2 cloves garlic

    • Juice of 8 limes

    • 1/4 cup olive oil

    • Salt to taste

    • 1 cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced

    • 1 red onion, cut into julienne

    • Freshly ground black pepper

HOW TO COOK

  1. Start by preparing the shrimp. Marinate the shrimp in half of the lime juice.

  2. In a blender or food processor, combine the cilantro, serrano peppers, garlic, the rest of lime juice, olive oil, and a pinch of salt. Blend until you have a smooth and vibrant green sauce. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.

  3. Once the shrimp have turned into a pink color, place them in a bowl and pour the green sauce over them. Toss gently to ensure all the shrimp are coated. Allow them to marinate in the sauce for at least 15 minutes in the refrigerator.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine the cucumber and red onion slices. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Toss well to coat the vegetables evenly.

HOW TO SERVE

To serve, place a generous amount of the marinated shrimp on a plate or in a shallow bowl.

Top with some of the cucumber and red onion mixture. Serve the Aguachile Verde over your tostadas.

Pro tip: Cracked tostadas can be used to scoop up the remaining sauce on the plate.
